The APX 4000 delivers TDMA technology in small, rugged and easy-to-use P25 capable portable 2-way radio. An ideal value for interoperability with other public safety agencies and public works, the APX 4000 is capable of P25 features such as Mission Critical Wireless, GPS, AES encryption, and Over-the-Air Programming.  It also provides reliable durability, simple controls, easy-to-use interface, color display, intelligent lighting and radio profiles, and excellent audio quality, all in a compact portable 2-way radio. 

The APX 4000 is P25 Phase 2 capable so it can provide twice the voice capacity.  This allows users to be added without adding more frequencies or infrastructure.  The APX 4000 is also backwards and forwards compatible with other Motorola mission critical radio systems. 

Simplified controls and an enlarged multifunction knob* makes the APX 4000 easy to turn on or off, set volume, and switch talk groups. Plus, this rugged radio model is IP67 and MIL-STD certified to withstand dust, heat, shock, drops and water immersion.

*Option of either having dedicated volume and channel knobs (2 knob model), or an enlarged multi-function knob (1 knob model),
